Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Why does MotorFind exist?
We developed motorfind.com.au as a free and easy way to sell your car online. We designed it to be as simple as possible. We have a super fast Australian server and we try very hard to optimise the website in a way that pages load quickly.

  • So why use MotorFind?
Everyone gets a fair go at the top of the search list on MotorFind. Each time you edit your ad it bumps it up to the top of the search list letting people know it's still for sale. We also allow unlimited images so you can really show off your car.

We are getting thousands of people visiting our website each and every day and it's growing at a phenomenal rate. This is great news for people like you selling their cars on our website. The more visitors we get the more exposure your vehicle gets to potential buyers.

  • But aren't there other car websites?
Sure, but we found them to be slow and quite difficult to use especially if you have more than one vehicle for sale.

Look, If you're selling your car we think you should take advantage all the free classifieds services that are out there and use them so that you have the greatest chance of reaching a potential buyer. MotorFind is here to compliment your efforts in selling your car.

  • Why do I have to create an account if it's free?
Our service is Free and always will be. The only reason you need an account is to be able to login and make changes to your ad or remove it after it has been sold. Or, if you have multiple vehicles for sale you can manage them all in one place. When you create an account we send an activation email to prevent fraudulant users (spammers) using our service.

  • I can't find my activation email?
Because our website sends the activation email automatically sometimes email filters might move the activation email into the Junk or Spam email box of an email account. Check if it's there.

  • Why won't my images upload?
Our website checks to see if the images you are uploading are supported images filetypes before allowing you to upload them. Some digital cameras save images with unrecognisable image info and our website rejects them.

If you are experiencing a problem like this open your photo in an image editing program like MSPaint (Goto: Start -> Run -> Type "mspaint") then while you're in there you can resize the photo using (Image -> Stretch/Skew) and adjusting both horizontal and vertical attributes to 25% or 50% this will make the image smaller and faster to upload. Then save the photo using (File -> Save As) and retry uploading your pictures.
