Description

My brother died suddenly and left behind an unfinished dream: this 1965 Triumph Spitfire. To honour his memory, I partially renovated the car, bought the debt from his estate to access the car, and with limited knowledge and hope set about engaging his chosen professionals to finish the project. After 18 months, the car was completed, registered and ready for test driving. Whilst this project, held my brother close, a realisation dawned that I had lived his dream, but undermined my own. The car was going to sit in my garage. I am not a confident driver or a lover of cars. This is a manual car, I do not have a manual licence and these cars are not the easiest to drive. Most of the work has been done on this car, but there is some interior cosmetic work required to complete the renovation. The paintwork is immaculate and the motor has been fully restored by the Triumph Centre in Perth. There is receiptable evidence that the renovations cost in the excess of $50,000.00.

I have the capacity to store this car for the rest of my life, but it would be a shame to have this stylish vehicle sitting idle. Therefore, I am searching for the person with a passion for Triumphs to bring this car to its original glory and take it for long country drives. For the person that shares his vision and love of old cars, I am open to generous negotiation.
