Delivered new by Carcycle of Pirie Street Adelaide, Honda’s first SA dealer, now in it’s second South Australian ownership for over 50 years. Restored many years ago, it still is in very good and original condition. The owner has completed all his own servicing and does have some invoices in a folder which show monies spent. He has a Workshop Manual for the S600 which is in good condition and goes with the sale. There is also a set of ignition points that go with the car, which are exclusive to the S600. The Honda S600 was launched in 1964 as a roadster and 1965 as a fastback coupé, was Honda’s first mass-produced car. Influenced by motorcycle technology, it utilized a roller-bearing crankshaft, four Keihin carburettors, and a chain-drive rear end. Known for its high-revving nature and lightweight, it was a 2-seater that competed with larger cars in performance. This was basically the Japanese version of the popular MG Midget and Austin Healey Sprite at the time. Powered by a 606cc 4 cylinder engine, it produced 42kw of power, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures at the time suggested 0-100kph in 15.4 secs and a top speed near 145kph. This model’s performance wasn’t that shattering, marketing was more about wind in hair motoring, economically and a reasonable purchase price. It was replaced by the more powerful S800 in January 1966. These cars are quite rare now and command good prices world wide. Even Jay Leno has one in his amazing collection! Service history shows early attention by the delivering dealer and most recently under South Australian ownership, by Adelaide Ferrari specialist, Veloce Motorsport of Hindmarsh Adelaide on the 14th of December 2023 at 53,664kms. At that service, 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres were replaced. At a more recent visit to Veloce Motorsport, all the hand brake shoes were replaced. The Ferrari 575M Maranello (Type F133) is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer manufactured by Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. Launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. The 575M was replaced by the 599 GTB in the first half of 2006. Updates from the 550 included a redesigned interior as well as a number of mechanical improvements, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics along with an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200-milliseconds shift time). Two six-speed transmissions were available, a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, the “F1” automated manual gearbox built by Graziano Trasmissioni. The 575 model number refers to total engine displacement in centilitres, whilst the ‘M’ is an abbreviation of Modificata (“modified”). For 2005, the company released a HGTC handling package along with raising the power from 379 kW to 397 kW. Powered by that uprated 5.7 Litre V12 engine, it produced 397Kw of power, delivered to the rear wheels via a 6 speed F1 semi-automatic transmission. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in 3.9 secs and a top speed near 325kph. Together with the uprated V12 engine, large carbon ceramic brakes, the HGTC handling package and a brand new set of Michelin tyres, this superb Ferrari is just a dream to drive and begging for the road ahead. 1948 MG TC ROADSTER – 1,081 MILES SHOWING Probably one of the most popular MG models ever made, this model is really just a post war example of the earlier TA and TB pre war models, which had to be suspended during the war years as the Abingdon MG factory was turned over to the Ministry of Defence to assist in the war production of weapons and materials. The US servicemen based in the UK during the war just fell in love with MG Midget design and driving down English country lanes, so when the conflict was over and they were sent home, they pined for this car. Lovingly known by many past and present owners as “bone shakers”, they are such fun cars to drive because they deserve all your attention and give you back so many reasons to smile. As a direct result of US demand, the TC was developed by MG and export sales sky rocketed. Later models, particularly the MGA and MGB directly were riding on the initial success of the TC’s US market success. Presented here is a much loved and restored TC #9260, in a very traditional colour combination of Green with Green interior and a Tan coloured roof. We hold an original style instruction manual (Handbook), which comes with the car. Powered originally by a 1.25Lt 4 cylinder engine, it produced (54.4bhp) 40.6Kw of power, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in 21.3 secs and a top speed near 130kph. The current owner has supplied the a large folder of documents, magazines, parts catalogue and photos relating to the current condition of the car. He purchased the car in 1986, so there is a wealth of knowledge, love, toil and expense put into this car over nearly 40 years of ownership. 1991 FERRARI TESTAROSSA – LHD The Ferrari Testarossa (Type F110) is a 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car manufactured by Ferrari, which went into production in 1984 as the successor to the Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer. The Pininfarina designed car was originally produced from 1984 to 1991, with two model revisions following the end of Testarossa production called the 512 TR and F512 M, which were produced from 1992 to 1996.
