1964 JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES 1 4.2 ROADSTER – MANUAL – 82,245 MILES SHOWING – (MY65) This E-Type roadster (DHC) has to be one of the best we have ever seen in terms of it’s overall presentation. Presenting in Off White (Cream) with Red leather interior trim. We hold a copy of a letter from Jaguar Cars Limited of Browns Lane Coventry dated the 4th of July 1990, confirming a matching numbers car, original colour combination, build date of November 1964 and original delivery to Brysons of Melbourne on the 30th of January 1965. Powered by a 4.2 Litre 6 cylinder twin cam engine, it produced when new 198Kw and 385Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in 6.7 secs and a top speed near 235kph. 1972 JAGUAR E TYPE SERIES 3 ROADSTER 5.3 – MANUAL – LHD – 60,570 MILES SHOWING Presenting in British Racing Green with Cinnamon coloured interior trim. This is a matching numbers vehicle. We hold a copy of the Jaguar Heritage Production Certificate # 41112. Also held is the Australian Federal Government Vehicle Import Approval # 153744/1 and dated the 31st of March 2016. The current South Australia owner searched long and hard both in the US and Australia for a very sound example and finally found this unmolested manual one for sale in Los Angeles in late 2014. After having the vehicle inspected, he had it shipped to Adelaide. The ’72 year model is the Holy Grail of US ” Federal Specification” cars as they incorporate several improvements over the ’71 release vehicles while retaining the high compression engines and not wearing the later Nordel type Enersorb rubber crash bumpers. The vehicle had a “closed door” respray in the mid 80’s and has had a couple of minor touch ups since, but has not been pulled apart or gutted to be restored. The “Federal Specification” cars have the extra bonus that they were factory fitted with the following:- * Sundym tinted glass * Integrated air conditioning * AM/FM push button radio * Remote adjustable exterior mirror * Front number plate bracket * Sportier differential ratio of 3.54 : 1 as opposed to 3.31 :1 Powered by a 5.3 Litre V12 engine, it produced when new 203Kw and 473Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in just over 6.0 secs and a top speed near 240kph. Since coming to South Australian ownership, the car has received quite a bit of attention including:- * All perishable engine and drivetrain items replaced * New interior leather seat trims, carpets, door cards, etc * All brakes refurbished * A factory reproduction stainless steel Bell twin exhaust fitted * Radiator replaced * Water pump bearing and seal replaced * Front & rear suspension refurbished * Clutch replaced and at the same time, the timing chain and tensioner replaced All of the above work is covered by a large folder of invoices for the work completed The car gets driven mostly on fine days with the roof off, however it sports a black soft top and also a beige tonneau cover, both in good order. Manual versions of the Series 3 E Type were made in very small numbers and of course the bulk of sales were designed for the US market in auto format. This would be just a delight to drive out on the open road, classic wind in the hair motoring at it’s best.   1964 JAGUAR MkII 3.8 SEDAN – MANUAL – 99,408 MILES SHOWING The owner refers to this as “Lady Rose” Presenting in Imperial Maroon with Light Brown (Burnt Caramel) leather interior trim. This lovely matching numbers example was built on the 7th of September 1964. We hold a copy of the Jaguar Heritage Archive Production Certificate # 41945, attesting to it’s origins. Original colour was Mist Grey with Red interior trim. Jaguar Cars Ltd of Brown’s Lane Coventry UK dispatched the car by ship in 1964 to Sagers Motors, the Jaguar dealers of Salisbury (now Harare) Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). The car was ordered for the British South African Police Force (BSAPF), apparently changing hands several times in Harare before being exported to Australia. 3.4 and 3.8 Litre Mark II’s were popular with police forces, especially UK country police forces in the 60’s. A similar model also featured in the infamy of the Great Train Robbery, both in the hands of the police and the robbers on getaway! The documents provided with the car show the car was imported to Australia in early 2005 to a resident of Crabtree Tasmania. It was later sold to a resident of NSW who in 2018 completed a re-furbishment and colour change to the now gorgeous Imperial Maroon. The current owners of the car are residents of Adelaide and purchased the car in April 2024, and named her “Lady Rose”. Powered by a 3.8 Litre twin cam XK engine, it produced when new 164Kw and 325Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed Moss manual gearbox with overdrive on 4th gear, making it a 5 ratio gearbox. Performance figures at the time of release suggested 0-100kph in 8.5 secs and top speed near 200kph. This particular Mk11 is one of the nicest presentations we have seen and is blessed with electric power steering which makes it feel like a modern car. Stunningly trimmed in Light Brown leather with gleaming walnut dash and window trims, it is just the perfect English classic car to cruise in.
