1972 JAGUAR E TYPE SERIES 3 ROADSTER 5.3 – MANUAL – LHD – 60,570 MILES SHOWING Presenting in British Racing Green with Cinnamon coloured interior trim. This is a matching numbers vehicle. We hold a copy of the Jaguar Heritage Production Certificate # 41112. Also held is the Australian Federal Government Vehicle Import Approval # 153744/1 and dated the 31st of March 2016. The current South Australia owner searched long and hard both in the US and Australia for a very sound example and finally found this unmolested manual one for sale in Los Angeles in late 2014. After having the vehicle inspected, he had it shipped to Adelaide. The ’72 year model is the Holy Grail of US ” Federal Specification” cars as they incorporate several improvements over the ’71 release vehicles while retaining the high compression engines and not wearing the later Nordel type Enersorb rubber crash bumpers. The vehicle had a “closed door” respray in the mid 80’s and has had a couple of minor touch ups since, but has not been pulled apart or gutted to be restored. The “Federal Specification” cars have the extra bonus that they were factory fitted with the following:- * Sundym tinted glass * Integrated air conditioning * AM/FM push button radio * Remote adjustable exterior mirror * Front number plate bracket * Sportier differential ratio of 3.54 : 1 as opposed to 3.31 :1 Powered by a 5.3 Litre V12 engine, it produced when new 203Kw and 473Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures suggest 0-100kph in just over 6.0 secs and a top speed near 240kph. Since coming to South Australian ownership, the car has received quite a bit of attention including:- * All perishable engine and drivetrain items replaced * New interior leather seat trims, carpets, door cards, etc * All brakes refurbished * A factory reproduction stainless steel Bell twin exhaust fitted * Radiator replaced * Water pump bearing and seal replaced * Front & rear suspension refurbished * Clutch replaced and at the same time, the timing chain and tensioner replaced All of the above work is covered by a large folder of invoices for the work completed The car gets driven mostly on fine days with the roof off, however it sports a black soft top and also a beige tonneau cover, both in good order. Manual versions of the Series 3 E Type were made in very small numbers and of course the bulk of sales were designed for the US market in auto format. This would be just a delight to drive out on the open road, classic wind in the hair motoring at it’s best.   1964 JAGUAR MkII 3.8 SEDAN – MANUAL – 99,408 MILES SHOWING The owner refers to this as “Lady Rose” Presenting in Imperial Maroon with Light Brown (Burnt Caramel) leather interior trim. This lovely matching numbers example was built on the 7th of September 1964. We hold a copy of the Jaguar Heritage Archive Production Certificate # 41945, attesting to it’s origins. Original colour was Mist Grey with Red interior trim. Jaguar Cars Ltd of Brown’s Lane Coventry UK dispatched the car by ship in 1964 to Sagers Motors, the Jaguar dealers of Salisbury (now Harare) Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). The car was ordered for the British South African Police Force (BSAPF), apparently changing hands several times in Harare before being exported to Australia. 3.4 and 3.8 Litre Mark II’s were popular with police forces, especially UK country police forces in the 60’s. A similar model also featured in the infamy of the Great Train Robbery, both in the hands of the police and the robbers on getaway! The documents provided with the car show the car was imported to Australia in early 2005 to a resident of Crabtree Tasmania. It was later sold to a resident of NSW who in 2018 completed a re-furbishment and colour change to the now gorgeous Imperial Maroon. The current owners of the car are residents of Adelaide and purchased the car in April 2024, and named her “Lady Rose”. Powered by a 3.8 Litre twin cam XK engine, it produced when new 164Kw and 325Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed Moss manual gearbox with overdrive on 4th gear, making it a 5 ratio gearbox. Performance figures at the time of release suggested 0-100kph in 8.5 secs and top speed near 200kph. This particular Mk11 is one of the nicest presentations we have seen and is blessed with electric power steering which makes it feel like a modern car. Stunningly trimmed in Light Brown leather with gleaming walnut dash and window trims, it is just the perfect English classic car to cruise in. 1960 MGA 1600 Mk1 ROADSTER – MANUAL – 18,626 MILES SHOWING The MGA replaced the MG TF 1500 Midget and represented a complete styling break from MG’s earlier sports cars. Announced on 26 September 1955, the car was officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show. A total of 101,476 units were marketed by the end of production in July 1962, the vast majority of which were exported. 5869 cars were sold on the home market, and the MGA was replaced by the MGB. The MGA design dates back to 1951, when MG designer Syd Enever created a streamlined body for George Philips’ TD Le Mans car. The new bodywork traded the MG TF’s articulated fenders and running board for ponton styling, with a single styled envelope fully enclosing the width and uninterrupted length of a car. This lovely example is an Australian delivered (CKD) MGA and is a matching numbers car. Presenting in Bright Monza Red with Black interior trim and chrome wire wheels. Original specifications suggest 1588cc (1600) 4 cylinder B series engine, it produced when new 59.3Kw and 118nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures suggested 0-100kph in 14.2 secs and a top speed near 160kph. The current owner has provided the following information on his car:- Engine is a 1600 and is fully rebuilt with only about 700km on it. The coolant system has also been upgraded, now featuring an aluminium radiator with twin thermo fans. The rebuild was done by Classic and Sportscar Boutique in Norwood. The body was fully restored in Sydney prior to my purchase. The chassis has had a partial restoration by Finch Restorations. In 2021 it was awarded best 1600 MGA Roadster in Australia by the MG Car Company. The car comes with a good hood, full tonneau cover and side windows. 1966 HONDA S600 CONVERTIBLE – MANUAL – 5,699 MILES SHOWING * AVAILBALE TO INSPECT BY APPOINTMENT ONLY * Presenting in Red with Black interior trim. Delivered new by Carcycle of Pirie Street Adelaide, Honda’s first SA dealer, now in it’s second South Australian ownership for over 50 years. Restored many years ago, it still is in very good and original condition. The owner has completed all his own servicing and does have some invoices in a folder which show monies spent. He has a Workshop Manual for the S600 which is in good condition and goes with the sale. There is also a set of ignition points that go with the car, which are exclusive to the S600. The Honda S600 was launched in 1964 as a roadster and 1965 as a fastback coupé, was Honda’s first mass-produced car. Influenced by motorcycle technology, it utilized a roller-bearing crankshaft, four Keihin carburettors, and a chain-drive rear end. Known for its high-revving nature and lightweight, it was a 2-seater that competed with larger cars in performance. This was basically the Japanese version of the popular MG Midget and Austin Healey Sprite at the time. Powered by a 606cc 4 cylinder engine, it produced 42kw of power, delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox. Performance figures at the time suggested 0-100kph in 15.4 secs and a top speed near 145kph. This model’s performance wasn’t that shattering, marketing was more about wind in hair motoring, economically and a reasonable purchase price. It was replaced by the more powerful S800 in January 1966. These cars are quite rare now and command good prices world wide. Even Jay Leno has one in his amazing collection! This S600 has a good soft top, together with both full and quarter tonneau covers. An ideal car for classic events, show and shines or just a drive to your favourite destination. 1948 MG TC ROADSTER – 1,081 MILES SHOWING Probably one of the most popular MG models ever made, this model is really just a post war example of the earlier TA and TB pre war models, which had to be suspended during the war years as the Abingdon MG factory was turned over to the Ministry of Defence to assist in the war production of weapons and materials. The US servicemen based in the UK during the war just fell in love with MG Midget design and driving down English country lanes, so when the conflict was over and they were sent home, they pined for this car. Lovingly known by many past and present owners as “bone shakers”, they are such fun cars to drive because they deserve all your attention and give you back so many reasons to smile. As a direct result of US demand, the TC was developed by MG and export sales sky rocketed. Later models, particularly the MGA and MGB directly were riding on the initial success of the TC’s US market success.
